Frequently Asked Questions

When will my order arrive?

The system automatically gives you access to your digital PDFs after processing payment.

All sales are digital downloads and nothing will be shipped to you in the mail. See downloads support.

Can you send me a printed copy of this pattern in the mail?

For various reasons, I’ve been asked a few times if I can print one of my patterns and send it in the mail instead.

I’m happy to do that for you! Shipping costs depend on how many pages are being sent and to where in the world they are going.

Send me a message and we’ll work out the details!

Will you convert something for me?

I’ve been asked a few times if I can take this corner-to-corner or tapestry crochet pattern and turn it into a mosaic crochet pattern.

No. I can’t and I won’t.

It’s a breach of copyright for me to use someone else’s design. Even if I got their permission it would be a complicated process that is sometimes not even possible because the way charts are designed does not allow them to always be applicable to other techniques.

Plus, I’ve got tons of my own designs to work on!

Explain yarn 'weight'

When we talk about yarn weight we can be referring to how much that ball of yarn weighs OR how thick the strand of yarn is.

I rarely weight measurements because it’s dependent on what fibre your yarn is made of. Cotton yarn and acrylic yarn do not weigh the same. I use length measurments such as yards and meters because if the thickness of the yarn is the same we will use similar amounts of yarn for each project.

You can use any yarn weight (thickness) for my designs and still have the image show up. Although, I predominantly design for worsted weight yarn (4-medium).

How do I add more colors?

Currently I design with only two colors per pattern: the Main Color (MC) and the Accent Color (AC) or Contrasting Color (CC). I use AC in interlocking crochet patterns and CC in the mosaic patterns.

I have not yet incorporated any tapestry colorwork into my patterns. But you are welcome to give it a try.

However, I have created designs that change what color is being used. For example, if you are using black as the MC and white as the CC you could switch to using black as the MC and yellow as the CC halfway through your project and the bottom would be black and white while the top is black and yellow.

File Differences

File Differences

My current file format is to include one file for each technique. Each file includes the fully written pattern along with a chart-reading explanation for the single-page and multi-page charts.

Old designs may have a different format.

I used to include one file with each purchase; that file would have the written pattern for interlocking crochet, then a chart, and then the written pattern for overlay mosaic crochet.

It’s a big job to re-do all the charts and file formatting for over 300 designs, so I appreciate your patience while I get everything more functional.
