Chained Ponds 40
Crochet this large square, Chained Ponds 40, using the interlocking crochet technique or the overlay mosaic crochet technique. The fully written pattern and charts for both techniques are included.

This large square, Chained Ponds 40 matches the Chained Ponds Blanket which was my 200th pattern on Ravelry! Visually, it looks like a repeating pattern. But the section moves down a few rows each time so there is actually no short, repeatable section. Save by getting the Chained Ponds Set.
You will receive two files.
- Chained Ponds 40: the fully written interlocking crochet pattern, a one-page chart (81 x 81), the fully written overlay mosaic crochet pattern (including instructions for an envelope border)
- Chained Ponds 40 Chart: multi-page chart marked with X’s for mosaic crochet
The Locked Filet Mesh (LFM) interlocking crochet method uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh; two colors are worked alternately which creates the pattern.
Mosaic crochet is single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color’s single crochet stitches to create the design. My patterns instruct you to cut your yarn at the end of each row. The back is striped but often gives a faint impression of the pattern on the front (sort of like illusion knitting).
